This event was a big success!  Many parents attended and the Japanese parents were kind enough to allow several of us from CRN Japan to participate in absentia.  Our children's names were called out from the top of Mt. Fuji along with the participants' children's names.  Here are pictures of some of them.

NOTE: Plans have changed slightly.  Participants will now stay overnight on Mt. Fuji on the 18th to get accustomed to the air, and climb on the 19th.  Details below.

Fathers Website is planning a demonstration for parents and children's rights on the top of Mt. Fuji, a symbol of Japan and the highest point in Japan.  There was also a best seller book in Japan, titled "Call for love from the center of the world."   So left-behind Japanese parents will be traveling to the top of Mt. Fuji to call out children's names from the top of Japan.  They hope that whenever our children see Mt. Fuji, they will think about their fathers and mothers calling out to them.

Of course, our children may never know.  So before going, they will send out pamphlets to newspapers and magazines about Father's Website and its mission to get laws allowing joint custody, laws requiring the right of visitation for non-custodial parents, and laws requiring punishment for anyone who does not obey court orders to return abducted children and allow visitation. 

They welcome people from the Japan Children's Rights Network or any other non-Japanese to join them.

Participants from Tokyo will leave Tokyo by car on August 18 and meet others from Nagoya at the parking lot  called "Fujinomiya" on Mt. Fuji around 10pm.  They will then stay overnight in a lodge. They will start climbing In the morning of August 19th, and plan to reach the top around noon.  They will return to Tokyo the same evening. A couple of the Japanese parents speak English.  They also plan to have a banner saying "Both parents are good parents" in Japanese, and if you want to add something in English, please let them know.
